The St. George Parish Society met Friday, June 6, 2008 following
Mass. Twelve members attended. Minutes were read.
The treasurer reported a balance of $5097.87 Congratulations to Sister Muriel for her 60th anniversary as a Benedictine sister. Joan McNamara to give Sister Muriel $60 for this special event; Pat Waller seconded. Motion carried. Also, Father Dave's birthday is June 12th The Mother/Daughter Bruch-Style Show hosted by the April and May groups was enjoyed by all. About 130 attended. Linda Andersen organized a group of 18 adults and 8 students to serve a breakfast at the Banquet on Wednesday, June 4. They served eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, toast, and drinks to 166 adults and 18 children at a cost of $237.87 Pictures for the Church Pictorial Directory are scheduled for June 11-14. There will also be another chance for pictures in November. The June group has a rummage sale scheduled at the Center for Saturday, June 21 from 8am - 4pm. They will also have a BBQ/Hot Dog snack bar from 10:30am - 4pm. There will be no meeting in July since July 4th is the first Friday. Three Hail Mary's were said for the fallen away Catholics and the ill in our Church Next meeting: August 1st
